Thanks guys for the valuable advice

I'm about to grab a walbro 255, the question is that there is a lot of fake fuel pumps online (eBay especially)
They go for around the 100-120 mark,

Wanting to know, if anyone has bought one on eBay and received a genuine pump not fake so I can avoid the scammers

If you buy from the states, and they say it's genuine then there is no worries. They go for roughly that price anyway. Make sure when you get the actual item that the model stamp number is on the actual unit.

thats the thing, i'm not entirely sure if mine is on the way out or it's fine, wanted to change it anyway as the future of the EK9 is turbo, so it's good to upgrade it anyway

Do you really need to change it? Otherwise it's a waste of time

i've just installed the walbro 255, noisey on start up but when car is running, sounds just like the OEM unit did.

haven't driven it yet, but will let you guys know if it makes any difference LOL (doubt it)

so users on other forums say it's not good running an aftermarket fuel pump on standard ECU as it bumps up the fuel pressure
but i pondered about it, thinking if that could happen, really can't due to the fact it's running an OEM fuel reg (which means pressure will always be XXpsi and whatever is extra gets recirculated?

someone shed some light on this?
