    5th Gen Prelude wheel fitment

So I want to grab some new 17" rims to replace my stock ones, running 16x6.5 +55 offset (I think) as stock with 5/114.3 stud pattern, yada yada yada and 205/50/16 tyres.

What I'm wondering is; what tyre size will I need for 17" rims at 7" width, and what is the maximum width/tyre combination I could run at stock suspension without stretched tyres.

    Would be much appreciated, thanks.

they have a table to tell you what tyres you can run with the rims.

but be mindful of the inner wheel hitting the inner wheel arch if the tyres are too wide.

but i think 7" will be fine on prelude.

17x7 +38 215/40/17 will fit straight on. No guard rolling required except maybe trim the rear bumper tabs.

With the car lowered to a 1 finger gap, 17x7+45 with 215/45/17 will scrub if you turn full lock up a steep driveway.

and rear bumper tabs need trimming

Curtis. Rear tabs only needed to be trimmed with my old offset of +38.

And the front wheels won't scrub that much if you're running 40 profile tyres

*needed sorry, already done by prev owner.

the a drive R1's were a tad bit fatter than the old tyres (or so i hear) even though they're the same dimensions and started scrubbing
