Quick beep noise from steering wheel area sometimes when turning a hard corner.

Hi,

We bought a new Euro MY12 in DEC, its due for its 20k service soon.
My wife who is the driver has advised me over maybe the last 5000k's its doing the following - You hear a quick once off beep noise from the steering wheel area sometimes when turning a hard corner.

No indication light up on the dash. Is it a fault or detecting something low in fluid?
Just wondering if anyone here has heard of this and what it could be?

Edit - I've even heard it once going around a small roundabout.
