car smells like petrol !

hey guys bought a 94 dc2 not long ago and whenever i fill up full tank my car smells like petrol inside and out what could be the problem ?

Is it only when you've JUST poured? If that's the case then it should be fine. It's only when your car smells like petrol all the time should you be worried.

Also when I start it up and go for a drive it smells like petrol this happens until the tank reaches half way

I would suggest that your charcoal canister is not connected properly , or not connected at all.

This is located CLICK HERE (under the fuel filter in the engine bay) and controls emissions and also fuel vapour from entering the engine bay and cabin.

Check that it is there , and check that it is firmly connected

my b20 used to smell like engine vapours cause of the breather setup
