why does it look odd? There a few paint chips but other than that looks pretty good, just get a mechanic to check out the motor

Doesnt look like theres anything wrong with it. Though thats hard to tell from a photo.

But i can assume you are thinking:

Low price ------> Low KMS ------ > NO RWC ----- > Whats wrong with it?!

Picture wise it looks fine but there are no engine bay pics so cant really help out in any way really. Unless someone here has already inspected it and can shine some light, be impossible. So just go inspect it yourself with a mechanic and test run it.

Very Clean dc5r ~ Can't tell till you test drive it yourself, or get a friend that's mechanically minded to come have a look at it with you. Also see if you can get the owner to supply the rwc

The car looks fine in the pictures, but obviously you can't determine the condition a car by pictures alone. Everything looks normal, except the gold front badge - Did they get badged and decide that they liked the gold instead of the stock R, or was it involved in a front on and decided cheaper luxury spec badge?

As others have said, inspect it if you're interested to confirm its condition.

Nothing wrong with it that I can see, badges are probably original. They were optional back in the day even on the Type R, and people have crappy taste no matter where you are. No roadworthy because a roadworthy is not required to sell/buy a car in Tasmania, the owner probably doesn't know what one is. Go and have a look, if it has books it's probably genuine. Also that number plate is correct for it being first registered in Tasmania in 01/02 and continually registered there since then.

The pictures are fine, but the description is weird. "This car is a well kept loved car that is kept in the garage and only driven to the shops on a sunday afternoon." Yeah, okay mate.

Having said that, a lot of the weird things can be explained away by the fact that it's in Tasmania. Things just work differently down there...
