    Ek Bearings

    Hey guys,

I know it has been covered, but I'm hearing a noise which comes on about 60km/h and gets louder the faster I go. It sounds more like a grinding sound rubbing sound? Not a "Whoop whoop" sound as described in other related threads.

I just bought the car, when i went to test drive it, I didnt take it past 60.

    Thanks in advance.

Might add that there is no feel in the steering or that the noise doesnt change when turning bends/corners.

Sorry if I come across as a Newb

Bit hard to diagnose over the internet.. best thing to do is take it to a mechanic to confirm

If you suspect it's your wheel bearings, jack up the car and rock the wheel back and forth to check for play in the bearing (hands in the 8 and 2 o'clock position)

Hmm yea that video sums it up quite well

Also i know its most likely the wheel bearing/s what about the CV boots do they seem to be all intact also ?

Could also be tire noise yea hard to believe but some tires can be annoying as hell over 70-80KM

Sorry guys, I had just finished a 13hr shift after starting this thread. I meant to ask what other possibilities could it be if it wasn't a bearing. But that video summed it up well.

    Thanks!

    Turns out its the tires.!
