Decent Honda mechanic in Melbourne (North Eastern Suburbs)

    Hi guys

I am just wondering if you can recommend a genuine and decent Honda mechanic in Melbourne. I have got an Honda Accord Euro (2012 MY13) and its due for its first service soon. I would prefer it to be in the north eastern suburbs of Melbourne but am happy to travel if you guys highly recommend someone in particular. It would have to be someone who's really good at Hondas and doesn't rip his customers off!

I have read some positive feedback about MSC in Reservoir (Steve). Is he really good and genuine? Also would I void my new car warranty if the servicing is done by a non Honda dealership mechanic? I am more worried about the latter..

I would really appreciate your advice and suggestions!

    Many thanks
    Sherdil

you'll keep your warranty so long as they use genuine parts and they can stamp your logbook with an accredited stamp

You'll keep your warranty, but they will try VERY hard to blame shit on your mechanic (to get them to fooot the warranty bill), so your mechanic has to be prepared to answer to that, meaning they have to maintain proof of their inventory, products that are the 'correct' products for your car, right down to things such as engine flush and crap. No substitute products, even if they are good, e.g WURTH.

Think they are closed right through to new year though.

Well I am hoping that a good mechanic will be prepared to answer that.. Also I would not be looking at any substitutes, only genuine Honda products
