Installing Recaros into EG civic hatch

I know installation has been covered in the DIY. My main question is with the seatbelt sockets, do you have to put them on opposite sides of the seat? This way the recliner adjuster is facing towards the door rather than the centre brake handle console?

The reclining/adjusting knobs should be facing the doors - so if you have it the otherway, you are putting the seat on the wrong way..

My old ITR was the same. The Slider lever are on different sides on each seat as well, so no.

Honda must have done it because there is no center console, so they can fit 1 adjustment knob in the middle.

The DC2R recaros i bought had the recliners facing inwards (towards centre brake console with seatbelt fasteners). I installed them today without modifying anything and they're a perfect fit, plenty of space for the recliners. The only way to have the recliners facing outwards would be to exchange the rails between the two seats and then swapping the seats around for install (too much work to do as you have to undo a lot of bolts on the rails and some of them are hard to reach if you're using just a socket wrench set)

The SR3 recliner knobs face the centre console on the EK9/DC2R.
If it's facing out, it's on the wrong way.

However, if you're putting the seats in a EK1/4 or DC2/4, you'll have to face them the other way as the centre console armrest will get in the way.

To answer the original question, you mount the seatbelt on the rail, not the seat. So it doesn't matter which way you install your seats, since there's only one way the rails can go in.

Hmm guys i'm having a problem with the drivers side seat. Basically the inner rail (one facing the brake console) doesn't line up at the back bolt point (seems like it's a bit short). All the other points line up fine. Is there something i'm doing wrong? The rails are definitely DC2R ones.

They'd be EK rails then. 3 out of the 4 holes line up.

If they're DC2 rails, then they would fit in an EG.

EK rails (inner rail) are longer (and taller) than EG/dc2
