gruppe m best imo, or smooth out airbox with air Scoop still does the trick. No real gains with changing the intake, will need a flash tune (MAP or MAF) to see the most gains with intake.

k&n is the best way to go!! very easy to install yourself, and the vtec and pull difference is very very very very noticeable. you'll love kicking that vtec in once you change the intake, the vtec sounds much more deeper and louder and most of all aggressive as farkkk.
And for the engine check thing, its a simple fix. after you installed the intake all you need to do is to disconnect the batteries of the car and reconnect it, and your engine check problem is solved.

also the injen CAI is the biggest drainer to fit. the fn2 engine bay is not big at all, its very cramped. to install that you'd need to remove a shit load of junk just to fit it in right. if you got the money by all means go for the GruppeM intake, which would cost you $800-$1000 bucks, where as the K&N will cost you about $360. i recommend the k&n intake
