Thread: Lowering my car

    Question Lowering my car

Hey guys, I'm completely new in modding cars, so please put up with me. I own a GD1 Honda Jazz GLi '05, no body kit or what so ever.

I found some wheels with good price, so I bought it. The wheels are 205/40/17. Somehow I kinda look at it as if it's a 'compressed' version of CR-V, or a bit too high...

And, when I tried to take it to go over 80k/h, the front part of the car feels a bit weird compared to before. Attached the picture of it, and will take more pictures if you need better image for opinion.

    My questions are :

    - Is it possible to just lower the front (performance-wise, as I consider the looks as 2nd)?
    - Anyone has suggestion of WHERE should I go with this mod? PM me if it's more convenient to recommend some person / workshop by it.
    - Price estimate

    PS: I'm located in Sydney

    Cheers, much appreciated guys!

Is it only the springs I need? Thanks

you can lower it by using lowering springs and stock shocks, I had done so on my old Jazz.

however as the cars are getting old now, probably worthwhile getting new shocks while your at it, if not get coilovers if it fits your budget.

do lower front and rear, the rears are incredibly easy to put in and you won't need spring compressors, no reason not to.

also with the problem above 80kph, have you checked your wheel balance?

Yep, did balancing while I have it installed. So is it DIY which you recommend, fillit? Sorry, noob here lol

How does it feel 'weird' Garry?

Does it vibrate? make rubbing/rattling noise? feel unstable/wobble?

It looks like a GLI, no front fog lights, side skirts.
