Hey welcome, I suggest you sell your base dc5 and get a dc2 vtir to learn how to drive manual. You'll have much more fun :P. Or if you are rich and have money lying around just get a dc5r and learn manual on that. Its not worth while to do up a auto performance wise as you will get little to no gains from it.

    Welcome abourd!

Learning to drive a manual can be nerve racking at first, but with anything practise is everything. Best way to do it if you're nervous is use a private car park (shopping centre, university etc.) at night time and just practice the clutch, switch gears etc. Atleast you aren't in an environment where you feel as though you're in the way, you have all the space you need and can't crash into anything (hopefully).

Also keep in mind, there's nothing wrong with driving an automatic, its all about what you enjoy and what will make you most comfortable.
