    Is this ecu compatible?

I've always wanted to eventually own an Accord Euro-R. Seeing as I can't import one as there is an existing model, that's not happening. But would the ECU from the CL7 EuroR fit into an FN2? It engages Vtec (love saying that) at 6200 and finishes at 8600 or 8880. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i-YpQ88pBYE This is what I want my K20 to sound like :3

    No, just no.

That's like putting the brain from a baboon into a giraffe.

You'd need to look into a tunable ECU for the FN2R to re-tune it. You can't plug and play ECU's.

As lolmclol said it won't work.

Also you're probably better off buying a kpro - perhaps cheaper than the CL7 ecu due to type R tax.. (don't quote me on that though).

The engines themselves have enough differences between them to warrant that if you did do the ECU swap, it won't sound close to what the CL7. Not to mention the difference in intake and exhaust will ensure it sounds different.

Thanks. I really sound ignorant asking that, but I'm not exactly clear on ECU transplants or just (some) electronics in general.

AFAIK You wouldn't swap the ECU ... you would look into one which can be tuned.

^ Thanks guys. Again, sorry for such a stupid question XD But another stupid question, is it possible to tune the tuneable FN2 ECU to have similar performance to the Euro R? Obviously some internals would have to be changed, would some parts from the Euro-R K20 fit onto the FN2's K20Z? (I'm really not the person to talk to about tuning :P)

Anything is possible with the right amount of financial input.

Do you have an example of said tuneable Fn2 ECU? Cause if its a Piggyback ECU then usually might possibly work as long as it supports any K20 [Don't see why it wouldn't unless there are things on the K20Z compared to the K20A such as Fly-By-Wire, MAP v MAF then you have issues], these issues can be worked around if you have the correct equipment.

Why the need to stick with Euro-R/Euro-R parts specifically though? A well planned and executed plan with aftermarket parts would yield better results. You might want check the difference between the JDM K20As and your K20Z. Cause there are differences that tuning and bolt on parts alone can't breach the gap.
