is rim tape legal ?

Got a scratch on my rims, curses,luckily its on the edge and rim tape costs 3 bucks on ebay. So are they legal in NSW ? or should i just get the same colour as my rims

best place to check though would be your states transport department website, just so you have the information should you get pulled over.
