    B16A Inner CV's

Anyone know if the inner CV from the right can be mounted to the intermidate shaft on the left and installed in the left of the car?

apparantly according to my defect notice my inner drive shaft is worn. i went and bought a shell today noticed it still had its right hand side CV still on it (but no engine).

so can that be used if connected to the rest of the left hand side assembly to maintain the length?

As said no . Different designs....

Drivers side is a male / male - to insert into the diff housing and knuckle.
The passenger side is a male/female - for the mid shaft to enter and enter the knuckle.

if the inner CV was to be dismantled and then use the inner peices from the left but the outer casing/inner pline from the right?

    would that work?

youd have to check it yourself if cup is same, could work if you remove spider and swap it. lhs/rhs has same length 475-480mm.
    try it.

clean inner cv free of grease and install in car without boot.
jack up knuckle and steer lock to lock to check any bindings.
