    [DETAIL] Ferrari 458 - Stage 1 + Nanolex Ultra & 22PLE Coatings

    It is not often you come across a Ferrari that isn't in the Traditional Ferrari Red Colour! This gorgeous 'Grigio' Coloured (Gunmetal Grey) Ferrari 458 came through for a Single Stage Correction + Nanolex & 22PLE Coating Trial/Comparison.

    It is nothing unusual for us to see a Brand New Car that requires some sort of Paint Correction. And of course, Ferrari's delivery of the 458 was not up to the Customers Standards. Understandably these are quite costly cars, and of course with that sort of spend you would expect a little more than what they delivered the vehicle with.

    The 458 received a Stage 1+ correction, more so due to the fact of the extra curves that needed a bit more attention that most cars.

    A combination of Menzerna PF2500 on a Orange Festool Pad to remove the light holograms and swirling and finishing off with Menzerna SF4000 and the Festool Black Finishing Pad.

    (However also seen the Festool RAP80 also came out in smaller areas to correct what the DAS6 Pro could not get into!)

    The finishing product was a combination of Nanolex Ultra Coating & 22PLE Pro Glass Coating, can you guess what went where?

    50/50 Shot - Difference after a quick pass already shows more clarity and depth into the Paint.

    A bit of hologramming also found:

    Notice a lot of residue from "delivery" detail was also found throughout the car

    After one pass the results show a significant difference;

    We found that 50 / 50 Shots showing the single stage correction vs untouched is very hard to take on this colour.

    Not a huge difference between the two. You could say 22PLE offers more Glassy Finish where Ultra offers more depth. But each paint type, paint colour, contours of the car can change this anyhow!

    Both as good as each other, whichever someone prefers at the end of the day i suppose No real answer to give unfortunately!

    The Metallic Flake is really starting to POP a lot more now!

    Using a soft Microfibre Cloth and theNew Nanolex Surface Cleaner to remove any left over Polishing residue from Menzerna before applying Nanolex & 22PLE Protection.

    Gorgeous curves & great reflections!

    The interior received Nanolex Leather & Textile Treatment that will protect the Alcantara & Leather as well as the Fabrics. Leaving long term protection against clothing dye, water spot staining and other contaminants adhering to the beautiful interior trim.
