you can tell in vic about in the 90's there was a rebuild scheme where e.g wrote of an ek1 you were eligible to import an equivelent like an ek9 you'd get new vin like 6S9REBUI1L9 or 6repv (replaced vehicle)
also personal imports would have the the word and number ek9 in the new issued vin no.
some non genuine would be rebirths such as an ek9 with standard ek1 vin number swaped cut weld etc etc.
I got an EK9. Was one of the ones driven to the JDMST meet (although not by myself). Genuine with actual EK9 chassis, defiantly not cut & shut.
Lots of people claiming EK9's out there but using EK1 or EK4 chassis (everything swapped and done very well, but in my opinion if it's not an EK9 unless you have the chassis too).
Oh were you the one who parked up the far end near the bike? You rocked up with another white Honda yeah? White plates with black characters?

i had an eg6 sir 20th aniversary black with bronze tinted windows.. one day going to girlfriends house got sandwitched on m1 freeway.. car was a total wreck holden commodore ran up my ass going 100+ kmh while i was standing stationary in peak hour traffic.. i miss that car soo bad.. had heated mirrors n everything.. bought an eg5 now but its just not the same ._.
yeah it was pretty messed up i was more concerned about the shape of the car it was in than my self.. cause the car was a private import and you just cant find a decent sir eg6 anymore..
