Issues with fitting sandwich plate for oil cooler on a B16A

Anyone tried fitting a sandwich plate for an oil cooler for a B16A gen 2? After trying to fit it, the fittings for the sandwich plate press up against the pipe in the pictures below:

Trying to turn the plate more anti-clock wise will result in the hoses pressing up against the knock sensor or alternator. If I point it to the right, the hoses don't fit because of the engine mount.

Anyone know of local suppliers for oil filter relocation kits? This is the only solution I can think of to install this oil cooler other than trying to return it back.

Been asked if I was missing the stock cooler plate and if it was a B20 block and it's not. It's got the B16A stamped on the block and did not come with a stock cooler plate.

I fear the sandwich plate you have is designed more towards putting sensors in for aftermarket gauges than oil lines. So i would see how it looks with the oil filter installed. Alternatively why don't you look at instead of the straight pieces you look at getting some AN-10 90 degree connectors.

Alternatively try places like Godspeed, 999 automotive or JDM yard.

try running 90 degree AN fittings so it points outwards towards the firewall than run the lines from there, that would be my best bet, im still tryna decide as well if to run a oil cooler or not, different motor but

i had massive trouble alone fitting oil feed to turbo an running 2 sensors fitting on a sandwich plate in that confined area, what a nightmare!!!

Notice how the oil ports are facing straight out from the block. Makes it worlds easier. Also why I think the set you have are designed more for sensors than oil lines

    Thanks for that.

Unfortunately, was from JDMYard. It's the Mishimoto Universal oil cooler.

It could be coz the B16a I have doesn't have the stock oil cooler plate which would proper the sandwich plate above clear of the pipe. Apparently the B16A's in Australia have a stock oil cooler plate. Mine was from a half cut that might be a Jap B16A. Not 100% clear on that, but that's what I have found out from my research on the interwebs.

In the end, the fact is there is no way to fit it on atm without needing to relocate the oil filter or at least trying some 90 degree fittings.

Does Australia have any oil filter relocation kits that are sold locally?

Who said anything about needing a oil relocate lol, have u even tried Enzed or any hose and fittings specialist??? THey will have excatly what u need for a AN fittings, if u already know what size an type, bend radius it makes it easier

No one here really does a off the shelf kit unfortunately, best bet is to just make ur own oil cooler kit, unless u pay someone to do it for u, im sure j's racing would do one but hella expensive and also Greddy dose one, but its like 1k apparently

Have a look through this- http://www.earls.com.au/files/2011earlscatalog.pdf

There will be a fitting in there somewhere that you need prob look at around page 45 on I think but it's hard to say without measurements and pics of the other end of your current fitting.

Best bet is to go to your local drag/race shop, more then likely they will have a full range available and will be able to size things up for you on he spot. Earls is in Silverwater in Sydney. You could also try Aeromotive in Adelaide, Outlaw Speed Shop does these but not sure on dealers in other states or Speedflow which is an Australian company with dealers in every state- http://www.speedflow.com.au/adapters.html

From memory you should expect to pay around $20 each for the fittings or if you want to go direct to a hose end they are around $45 each. You could try Pirtek or Enzed but I found them to be pretty limited with these larger style low pressure fittings.
