    hesitation under throttle

Hey guys, my everyday car is an accord euro 2006 luxury.

155xxxkms now. oil changed every 5xxx, super clean, always looked after....

    CAI, headers, exhaust.

BUT under heavy acceleration, sometimes the car hesitates. bad too.....

    use BP ultimate 98 only

OIL: running royal purple 10w40 - next change will use 5w50

any ideas of what could be causing this hesitation?

I had it in my prelude, changed the spark plugs, and its gone...

    Maybe check them?

Is there really a need for 5w50? I'll stick with 5w40. But yeah, I would check the plugs. The car is Drive by Wire, so hopefully it's not something around there.

Don't go 5w50. That's really thick. If there are no leaks or anything there is no reason you should go that high.

5w-50 will give VTC issues..... Too thick to flow easily through the oil channels into the VTC.

Changing fuel filter can often fix this type of problem.

I did plugs 15xxxkms ago... Brand new iridiums. Ngk...

5w50 is not that thick... Is it... If I always thrash it....
If I drive super hard on 10w40 wouldn't a car with this many kms get blow by?

Anyway to explain it more.... You drive say in second... On an on ramp to a free way.. Not all the time bbut sometimes it will go then hesitate (could call it a choke)... Like it cuts power then gives it back.
Or fuel filter blockage maybe. I'll change that next....
