    ( cl9 ) transmission filter

    Lads,
Recently my 05 accord euro auto has had the judder at 1500-2000 rpm people have spoken about on here. I am up to the third fluid drain & fill, which seems to have fixed the problem. But i want to change the inline transmission filter and was given a prices of $75 from Honda dealer for this part, after he told me it did not have a inline filter. Seems the Honda dealers do not know much, as i gave him the part number for it. Any way looking around i did find a magnefine 3/8 inline transmission filter for about $25 delivered from eBay. Question i have is any body used one before and was it a easy fit, does it fit in the Honda bracket.

I am looking for this part aswell if anyone can shed some light need to get it asap too. Think i have the same judder you are on about did the fluid swap stop it? Did you do oil change yourself?

For the life of me, I don't think the CU2 2012 has this filter. I can't find the bastard.

Hogan, the 2 fluid changes i have done have seem to have fixed the judder, but i want to change the filter when i do the third fluid change and yes i did do it myself because i would not like to see what Honda would charge for this as the fluid alone was not cheap. This is a easy diy, drained fluid ,filled back up, i drove car for approx 50k to work and back (suburb/highway) between changes. The magnefine filter i was looking at was the one that fredoops made the link to. The Honda factory filter part number is 25430-PLR-003.

Fredoops , i end up biting the bullet and ordering the one from Honda , mates brother got for me for trade price 10% off been ordered and paid for, so next time i will try the magnefine filter as i could almost buy 3 for that price.

Hogan if you are buying the Honda transmission fluid tell them you want ATF-dw1 fluid, not ATF-z1 which they say is all they have, the ATF-dw1 is the replacement for ATF-z1

Thanks for that man, I got redline d4 fluid as a few have recommended that. Any specialist tools needed to do the fluid swap or do you have a diy link to how its done? Just need to get the inline filter going to call around tomorrow.

If you are going to replace the fluid every 20k the filter will last you a long long time.
