    New HID

Well i just installed a KDG HID Kit
and wat i've found is that with the dc2 headlight setup, the HID light doesnt seem to project widely. The light basically doesnt seem to spread too well.
Does anyone with HID on their DC2 have the same problem?

colour temps play a big part with lighting up objects.

read up on how light works, before you make statements like that n00b

Just for those interested, this company sells the same HIDs, repacked and rebranded under 2 different japanese names, but is essentially the same product.

So dont always just trust a kit that is a japanese brand
Or dont always mistrust a kit that has a non-japanese brand..

i think the moral of the story goes somethin along those lines

Yep, I'm starting to hear some good things about Korean made products like HIDS. Seem to be catching up to the Japanese in quality. Though having said that, there's probably still some 'iffy' quality products made there. Only know if they're a good product when you get them.

And Mr Thanh is spot on, 4300-4500k will be the brightest as that is pure white. 6000k will have a tinge of blue and won't be as bright.

i have HID on reflector, and it spreads ok... not too wide to blind on-comin traffic. How wide do you want them to spread? cant you adjust the headlight horizontally?

The spread isn't as much as a problem compared to the height usually? dc2's lights tend to be much lower to the ground compared to other cars.

You will prob find your left headlight slightly higher than your right for safety reasons so that would be normal.

If you wanted to adjust your spread, you will need to adjust the horizontal alignment which will only move the beam to which ever side you choose.
