    metal grinding - ish sound

    - 97 ek1 manual.

So lately there's a whole lot of problems showing up.
I get this metal-grinding sound at low RPM in gears 2, 3 and 4. (approx 2000 2nd, 1900 3rd, 1700 4th). Also happens in 1st, but only if I'm parking it up my slightly uphill driveway.
Clutch worn out? Doesn't seem like its got the symptoms of a worn clutch though (slipping).

Reverse is also a bit PMS. Sometimes it engages properly, sometimes it grinds as I let the clutch out.

munkaii also said that my clutch may need bleeding.

Anyone else think my gearbox and clutch are doomed? Certainly a bleed won't fix all of that above right?

    A bleed can.
The clutch is hydraulically operated , if there are air bubbles or inconsistencies in between the clutch can slip or grip and cause issues with timing of the internals of the gearbox etc. it's quick and cheap to do so properly replace the clutch line with new fresh DOT 3/4 fluid
