Accord euro cl9 100k service cost

Hi guys. I am being quoted 586.74 by a Honda dealer in Victoria. Seems a bit excessive to me. Is that normal? It's for a 100k service.

    Hi nsfx84,

Not sure where you are in Vic, but ABS is currently doing a special. $29 for a safety inspection and one year of national roadside assist, or $39 for a full major service and one year of nationwide roadside assist.
There are 12 locations participating in this deal.

If not, try ringing around, most local garages are properly licensed, but make sure you check that they can do it by the Honda book, and can stamp your log book.

Here's a good servicing cost guide for most cars:
    http://www.carservice.com.au/car-ser...o-l-auto-ls08/

Your quoted price is at the higher end of the scale and you'll definitely save lots by shopping around.

The 100,000km service includes the following:

    Labour
    Replace engine oil.
    Replace engine oil filter.
    Replace spark plugs.
    Inspect all drive belts.
    Inspect idle speed.
    Inspect front and rear brakes.
    Inspect parking brake adjustment.
Check all fluid levels and condition of fluid.
Check headlight, tail, indicator, reverse & brake light operation.
Visually inspect tie rod ends, steering gearbox and boots.
    Visually inspect suspension components.
    Visually inspect driveshaft boots.
Visually inspect brake hoses & lines including abs.
    Visually inspect exhaust system.
Visually inspect fuel tank, lines and connections.
    Visually inspect tyre condition.
Test drive vehicle (check all systems and controls).
Inspect tyre condition and rotate tyres.
    Replace dust and pollen filter.

    Parts
    Spark plug s - 4 pieces
    Oil filter c - 1 piece
    Element filt - 1 piece
    Washerdrain - 1 piece

    Oil and Lubricants
    Honda Premium Engine Oil - 4.2 Litre(s)

Any additional parts such as coolant will probably be charged separately

I've used the Burwood Garage on Highbury Road, and they're pretty good if you want to try them. Small scale garage but properly licensed and extremely nice people with good business connections.

    Good luck mate.
