Is this the same for b18c? I've ordered brand new seal kit and am planning to change soon. It's also a good ideal to rub some oil on the gasket before inserting it right? Same like you do for oil filter?
Nope. With the oil filter it is a different story. You want easy removal so you put oil. But with the VC seal i wouldnt do it. If that's the case, the sealant would not stick anyway. You need a clean surface. Im not sure about b18 but i would recommend looking for joints in the cast. If there are joints, then put very small amounts. Or call Honda Service and ask 'Where should i apply hondabond on b18
