    Car wont start help

    This is what happen i had my car running and my friend was checking the engine and decided too pull out the coil lead on the 1st cyclinder and the car turned off we put the lead back in and now the car wont start does anyone know what could be wrong its a b18c engine in a dc2

    Stupid stupid idea. You could of zapped yourself.


    Anyway , you have fckued the distributor coil or igniter unit.

    Replace it and learn your lesson !

    your friend damaged your ignition coil and possibly your ICM by pulling your lead off.

    search the DIY section on how to test the ICM and coil to find out which is damaged

    Thanks for the help i got a dc2 type r jap spec dizzy because thats what the motor is in my dc2 vtir but its has a different plug but same dizzy also had a look at ecu they using standard vtir ecu. I have called a few wreckers after vtir dizzy i cant find any can someone recommend me where i can get one thanks

    Coil I think is about $60 at Repco. Find a local ignition shop and get them to test the dizzy, then source some generic parts and get them to fix it or just let them do it themselves.

    From Honda I think my last quote for a new dizzy altogether was around the $700-800 mark, or you can find them for about $250-350 generic.

    Thanks for all the help it end up being the igniton coil cost me $58 well my mate
