2008 CRV Air Conditioning

My Air Compressor failed in December 2012. Honda had no replacement compressors in the country. I obtained (by luck) an alleged O.E.M compressor and the Air Con specialist who fitted it said that Air Con was a problem with CRV's. Has anyone else experienced problems with their CRV Air Con.

Had a 2008 CRV air compressor fail just outside the 3 year warranty in late 2011. Had it replaced under warranty.
I am not aware that this is a general problem or not, but the AC compressor failure under 5 years is strange. I have had other cars which the the AC compressors have never failed (in the time of ownership - ranging from 4 years to 11 years from new).

My air-con clutch failed on me at 103K kms. Got replaced under warranty and supposedly there is a bulletin out that covers the air-con clutch until 160K kms. Supposedly parts had to come in from Japan. You will have to ask and sound confident otherwise they will just palm it off.
