Wanna purchase car interstate
G'day all, I am new to Honda and got some questions here. I am an international student and currently living in BNE and wanna buy a car in NSW or VIC, just wondering how much would it cost would it takes if I wanna toll from those places to BNE? And what's the price range would you expect for an 92-95 civic hatch (1.5 gli or vti) or a 96-00 civic hatch without any mods, less than 200,000km and comes with RWC and rego? It's a big issue that I couldn't come and inspect the car as well... Thanks for your patience guys!

Thru experience i have found particularly with interstate just recently from Vic to SYD.. CEVA were great .

others to try which are good also
www.carcarrying.com.au/
www.movingcars.com.au/
It should cost between $500-$800 Depot to Depot service and possibly more from Depot to Door/ Door to Door.
Call a few of the places and get some quotes.

As for vehicle inspection there are companies that are credited by e.g NRMA to provide various checks. http://www.vehicle-inspection.com.au
- Mechanical
- Body and Chassis
Sample inspection report
Anywhere from $200- $300 checks more components of the vehicle...You pay for what you get...i have heard they can even measure some body panels for inconsistent paint thickness so you will be able to know if the vehicle has had a respray or not.
These links are worth a read.
Victoria - Checks to do before buying
New South Wales - Checks to do before buying

Good info Snoop.
OP if there's something in Melbourne's eastern suburbs I'm happy to inspect for you. Can check body, engine for basic leaks, test drive for you. No responsibility taken though, however if you just want some help weeding out crap examples to begin with I'll give you a hand. Otherwise just fly down and drive it back, get a cert from each state to drive an un-rego'd vehicle

Could i ask why? Sorry.
Not trying to be a dick. Honest Question.
But if its a stock car your after specially only an eg4/eg5/ek1 possible ek4. I would save the head aches and buy locally.
Sure understandable if heavily modded ek4 or standard ek9/eg6, interstate is sometimes the only options open.
Not trying to step on your dreams or anything bud. Just tryna look out for ya.

Nah mate its all good. Yeah buy locally is absolutely save headaches but you can have more choices in NSW and VIC, thats why.
Cars in QLD Ive found are commonly high mileage, poor conditions, etc. I am only looking for a stock car, less or no mods.
I just found some in NSW and VIC which look much better than the list in here.
Anyway I am actually still searching, will prefer local but if there has better option (like similar conditions but much cheaper, similar price but much lower mileage and inter, exterior looks better, etc), I would still consider interstate haha

Then why you dont go for a better car maybe EK4 instead of EK1 EG4/5
It's not worth spending too much on a gli or vti
