I'm looking at buying these XXR 522 rims.
Just wondering whether i should fork out an extra $140 for 16" ones over 15".
These are what I'm looking at.

Jdmyard has 15s for $560, however don't have 16s. So ill be getting the 16 from the US (any customs issues?)
I have a feeling the 15's won't fill the fenderwell as good as the 16's.
also will there be any fitment issues with the 16x7 +25 on a dc2 vtir, still stock suspension only planning a small drop.

The wheels on your link is 5x114.3, unless you have 5 stud conversion, it wont fit

With dropped stock suspension, you will need to roll the rear guards to fit 16x7 +25 without scrubbing. Front should be okay. Will sit quite nicely!

Oh and re customs, anything that has a declared value >$1000 will attract GST and also I believe a customs fee. Either suck it up or get the sender to fudge the value on the customs form.
