2006 Honda Accord Euro (140,000km) vs 2009 Honda Civic VTi (50,000km)

    Hi all,

I'm in the market for a new car and have been trying to decide between getting a 2006 Accord Euro or a 2009 Civic.

If the ball was in your court, would you choose a 2006 Honda Accord Euro with high km or a 2009 Honda Civic with low km?

Looking at both the cars you have posted, Im guessing your budget is around 15k? I would be looking for a nice clean type r dc2/dc5

But out of them 2 cars, I would get the euro only due you can make more power out of the k24

Judging from the above choice in cars, I assume the OP is not interested in "performance".

With the above choices, I would probably go with the Euro as it's a bigger & nicer car overall, I assume for $15k you'll be looking at a luxury model, which should come with leather seats, sensors and all that other jazz.

Civic VTI is the base model if I recall correctly, never get the base model for any car unless you really don't have the budget for it. I wouldn't be too concerned with the KMs if the the Euro has been properly maintained, they can easily go 200+ without having too many issues.

I'd say base it on how long you want to keep the car, if you only want to keep it for a year or two, get the Euro and you can probably resell without too much of a loss. If you're after something long term and not worried about luxury/quality then get the civic (due to lower kms).
