Buying a 2006 Euro Sport or 2007 Limited

    Hi,

    First post, so hi all!

I currently have a Nissan Skyline R33 GTST series 2 which I've had for about 7 years and it has been a great car to have. However it's time to grow up a bit and have a more family / work friendly car.

My budget is around the low teens so I went on a search for what I could buy. I've test driven a ton of cars and at this budget the Honda Accord Euro Sport or Limited have been my pick (nice mix of features, looks and enough performance to not frustrate me!).

I, and my wife, like the look of the Sport / Limited the most so I've been on the search for one of these the past few weeks. So far I've come across three which are in the budget all from dealers (trying to work trade in for the Skyline - I know I could get more private but it needs a bit of work for RWC and it's just easier to trade....).

My question is around the servicing schedules for these cars. I'm having difficulty finding exactly what should be done at each service. Two of the cars I'm interested in are at 70,000KMs and one at 109,000KMs. I believe that the 80,000 is a major service? The other car has 150,000KMs, is this getting a bit high?

In terms of condition all three seem fairly similar, all have full service history but I reckon I could get the car with 150,000 for around $11.5K, the car with 109,000KMs around $12500 and the one with 70000KM around $13500. What are peoples thoughts?

    Thanks.

whats actually done differs between majors but they're all butt-hurt expansive if you head to the Honda stealership.

OK so from your response all three cars will be up for a major service next, 80,000KMs, 120,000KMs and 160,000KMs.

    Good to know, thank you.

Is there anywhere online I can get a break down of what Honda outline for each service?

    Thanks again.

What are people thoughts on the red colour paint? I've read reports that the red can fade to a pink? Does any colour seem to have held up better than any other?

red cars are the hardest colour cars to resell. Thats why they are cheaper. and Yes they do fade over time.

Because the smart people at Honda decided to mix the red paint with a clear coat

OK, so I'm getting the feeling that I should be staying away from the Milano Red then. Do any of the other colours have issues with paint fade etc?

I'm glad I bought the white Euro now. The Milano red one I went to look at really showed up all the surface scratches/swirl marks, which really put me off and pointed me in the direction of the white car I purchased.

I didn't mind the look of the red Euro's but am very happy I got a white one now :-)
