Where are these two plugs meant to go?

I haz a noob question. Ever since I have had the Civic, these two plugs near the ecu have just been hanging loose.

    1. What are they for?
    2. Am I missing that green thingy shown below?

    Thanks

Determining what code your ecu is having when you gget a check engine light. On the two pin plug ypu bridge the connections and the check engine light on your dash will start flashing. The flashing sequence tells you the code. Refer to. Workshop manual.

Bridging it will also put your ignition timing into base timing. I.e. no advance or retard on idle

Ahh thanks. Wasn't so sure, was just checking if the previous owners had left the wiring out, as they have done some dodgy wiring on the car! XD

The two pin connectors is the SCS (Short Connector) when shorted puts the ECU into diagnostic mode
The three pin connector is the DLC (Data Link Connector) used to connect to the PGMFO or HDS Tester
