I run the stock 10.5:1 of my B16A on it - I doubt I'd run 11:1 on it though without being worried.

i know 10.6:1 is easily ok because the JDM ludes run that CR and run fine over here. There are lude type S engines running on 98 octane as well adn they are 11:1.

I am wanting to know 11.5:1, 12:1 even upto 13:1 and definative answers ?

ITRs are about 11:1 and its fine.
The higher the compression. The more precise your tuning has to be.

My memory tells me that one B16A over here has a compression on 13.7:1
It was built for a rally car and now its going into a EG hatchy.
    It has a redline of 9600 !

I run 11.9 c/r and all I can tell you is that wots more important than the

fuel you use is the tuning you will get after you build the motor. You will

have to retard the timing to at least 12-13 after your build up to stop any

detonation from ocurring until you get the timing and fuel tuned. Hondata

    is your friend

I wouldn't go over 12 to 1 on pump gas
