    Have a look a these videos, the guy basically tore his b18c, rehoned and turboed it (ignore the turbo part, just pay attention to how he honed it at home himself), the second link includes dyno footage. Both videos are of two different cars.

    Cleaned the motor up this afternoon.


    managed to get to the tensioner bolt, got upto the intake manifold but i cant get to the lower bolts? any ideas?

    From memory there are 2 12mm bolts that hold the manifold the a steel bracket which bolts to the block, to get to the bolts to "free" the mani, so you can take it off in one piece with the head, you have to undo them from underneath the car with a long extension.

    Check this out and go to step 16.

    I got the head off already but thanks
    Spose I should update.

    Got the head off:

    and sent it off to Redline Engine Service to have it machined and to have 10thou (.25mm) taken off.
    also ordered my conversion kit.

    Been a bit! Since getting the head off, I sent it off to Redline Engine Services to have 10thou (.25mm) taken off.


    Yanked the pistons out of the b20 to find they're looking pretty tired, so I've set my sights on some RS Machine 84mm pistons with rings.
