    Short throttle cable on dc2r

    Hi guys,

I know its common practice to put (I think its an ek4) throttle cable on b18c7 and have it going under the intake manifold around and up to the tb, and i've actually done it myself on my old motor. My only concern is I didnt really do many km's with this setup and I'm not a big fan of the sharp angle the cable has to take around the manifold, there must be a reason why honda would design the car with such a long cable with no sharp bends in it. I never experienced any issues with it on my old car, has anybody else?

    My logic is

Honda are smart. They thought it wise to have no sharp bends in cable

    Ur logic???

    Dnt makeme remind u...
Ur the one that changed random.parts for NO logical reason which caused u issues...lol

As long as the cable is good condition or new ($55)
U wont have any issues....the bends arnt as sharp as u think...

Come past n have a look at mine

It's mainly the bend around the intake mani, I had it before on my eg, it's basically 180degree loop

    Does it kink?

    If not, it's fine

I had a 180 degree loop in roughly 2-3 inch radius on my ek, worked fine.

Have fitted EK9 Throttle Cable and DC2R Throttle Cable Bracket on EG/B16/B18CR, have had absolutely no problems. My EL2 Orthia also has this setup standard.
Shorter cable follows perfect curve and resists stretching moreso than the longer cable. If you are running a B18C2 with standard IM, I recommend using LHD USDM DC2R Throttle cable.

If anyone chasing new OEM Throttle cables and brackets, PM me
