Timming Belt - Compatibility EK D16Y

    http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GATES-CIV...item45feabd980

Does anyone know if this is compatible with an EK1 D16y4?

As long as its a D16Y series, that kit should fit fine, as D16Y engines share the same tensioner pulley (Im pretty sure..)

There are two different belt sizes for the SOHC D series. From memory there is only a difference of 5-6 teeth but dont get caught out by taking a guess

Is this because of facelift and prefacelift models? or gli, cxi models?

Pretty sure the difference is due to different sized blocks. the 1.5L blocks use a shorter belt.

Quoted from a review, a customer said: "The number of teeth on the belt is 104 x 24mm"

Is this the same as a d16y4 (non-vtec)?

I have D16Y8 listed as 104 teeth and D16Y4 as either 104 teeth or 107 teeth

For the d16y4, is there more information on what sets the 104 and 107 apart? for example, the year 00-99 or possibly gli or cxi?
