    Post Fd1 vtec

Hey guys i know this topic has been done to death. R18 has economy vtec blah blah

I was bored looking around 8th civic forum for some performance ideas
Then came across some ppl claiming vtec crossover on r18

Turned out r18 does have a high vtec. Well... Maybe more of a sound one

Around 5200 it changes into a more aggressive growl but there is no kick just smooth continous power. Fyi

On my dohc nonvtec there's a slight cross over at roughly 6500rpm where it bounces off the rev limiter and bogs down the car.

FYI this experience that I am explaining is not vtec

Crosses over louder than an FD2! Brother previously had an fd1 and I've just purchased myself an fd2. Noticeably more power in fd2 however. No crossover

Makes it easier to convert to an fd2r or Mugen rr
