    Review: K&N Filter Recharger Kit

Just picked up one of these recharge kits,

    http://www.proaccessories.com.au/KN_Filtercleaning.htm

from Supercheap Autos @ AUD26 yesterday, results are pretty amazing!

The filter is approx 2 years old, a Trust drop in replacement filter for the B18CR. After cleaning the unit, low end throttle response is *much* better, engine idles slightly smoother, low end torque noticibly better too. Havent had a chance to go WOT yet, but the engine sounds like it breathes a lot easier now.

If you guys have a pretty old/dirty filter, with 20 mins to spare and some spare cash, this is well worth the $$$. Highly recommended.

Make sure your filter is the "washable" type

Did you wash the filter inside out (Flushed from inside) with water? Don't you have to air dry it first before re oiling the filter?

Just checking coz 20mins is seriously not enough :P

    LOL I figured that heheheheh...

That's why I buy 2 filters, one to use while the other is being cleaned and 3 months later, repeat the cycle LOL!

P.S 26 bucks is CHEAP! I paid over 35 for mine!!! Is it a sale item or it's everyday price?

Repco had it for $33, Coventrys $40+ with trade $27.50, Supercheap @ $26.

Cheapest i found online was $25 but still had to factor in shipping costs so that was out.

Supercheap it is! Thats normal everyday prices, but ring up first as they dont have many in stock (i picked up the last one @ that branch). If i had known about it last week there was 20% off everything it would be have been even cheaper!
