Ek d16y4 cranking but not starting

Hi all title pretty self explanatory, just put a d16y4 back into my ek it cranks but does not turn over. I can hear the fuel pumping and checked fuel lines all the way down to the rail and theres pressure. Ive checked grounds there fine as well as fuses also switched my dizzy for a known working one. My question is could this be injectors not pulsing? Ive checked them after trying to start, they seem pretty dry (and i cannot hear them clicking), could this be an ecu problem or a wiring problem?

Edit, ive tried new injectors still nothing.

ecu was pulled out of the same car the engine was pulled out of.

the ecu's have immobilisers in them which are linked to the transponder in your key. immobiliser will disable your injectors

you need to use the original ECU or disable the immobiliser (not as simple for EK1)

injectors would still fire if the dizzy was 180 out

sounds like its an immobiliser issue, just because the ECU is matched to the engine it does not mean it will start, you need to now program the ECU to the Immo control unit.
