    Clutch recommendation

Looking for suggestions/experience/recommendations on what clutch I should go for-
Turbo B18C making about 170kwatw, soon to be probably about 180 and at the most to around 200 in the short to mid term. I'll be running a cable actuated box in a DA9 but with the larger input shaft and internals from a Type R.

Concern is that if I go too heavy a clutch I'll be stretching clutch cables but too light won't handle the power.

I was thinking this one from Xtreme- DSBMS Clutch Kit KHN22005-1R or would just a HD cover and sprung ceramic button plate suffice? (DSBHD Clutch Kit KHN22005-1B) what would be the Excedy equivalents or any other brands I should look at?

I used a 3 puck exedy, the sports organic only lasted 12kkm.
Ran great. I'd stay away from cheaply brands as they tend to have issues with higher power

    I made 173kwatw

Dean used a competition clutch on his yellow turbo Integra (it was great) and I've used one N/A applications they've held up very well.

You bring up an excellent point on cable though - I'd like someone to chime in on that.

i have also used competition clutches on my boosted b18c
the stage 3 i used up to 250kw atw,
then went to a bigger setup now using a stage 4 6 puck ceramic, for 340kw atw no issues.
    still streetable too.
i would go compeition clutch again.
so for you, definately stage 3, that's the same as Dean used as well.

With the competition Clutches i've stayed away.
Alot of the Evo boys have had very bad quality control of the CC clutches and quite a few have failed.
Not sure about them for hondas.

Cheers all. So no one has experience with Xtreme? Some of the nissan guys here in SA seen to hold them in quite high regard.

I'm thinking the stage 3 comp clutch or 3 puck excedy are approximately equivalent? And about equal to the Xtreme 1R clutch I posted?

Dunno about pedal weight but the 3 puck exedy's eat gearboxes - massive shock loading. Isn't there a sprung twin organic or something? If it weren't for the pressure plate you'd be better off with your ORC.

After a few hard Clutches I'll always go sports organic and replace more often if required

I had Xtreme on my boosted D16Y1 setup but i don't remember much about it...

Never seemed like a problem and sold it after my motor blew lol

We are using Competition Clutch Twin Plate on our DC5 Time Attack car.
Never had any problem with B and K series Stage 1 ( stock replacement ) / Stage 2 and Stage 4.
