Cold air intake yes or no??

Got an ek hatch with the d16, gonna make the cai as one of my brothers freinds did it, gonna cost me 140$ for everything. I've done research and people say it can give you slight torque barley noticeable and better fuel consumption. Is it worth it??

I'd say most users on here have tried a cold air intake at some point with varied opinions on the results

its safe to say they can add a little torque and hp on certain engines and setups but on a stock d16 you wont feel much

also you can probably make one for cheaper than 140,use a 3a pod filter and some generic pipings

if u are going to continue to mod the car the intake is something that will free it up for later, ie when u get exhaust, bigger TB, cams, tune etc. its a mod that will basically last unless u turbo. but unless u want to do atleast exhaust i dont think it will be worth while to get an expensive kit, just do a generic like mentioned before

Would it improve fuel economy for day to day driving with a d16?

possibly, but given your right foot's attitude will change, most likely not.
