    03 jazz vtis cvt failure?

    Hey guys,
After i drove my car in S for while and put it in D,I heard a bang and now everytime I take off the car sputter violently until I get upto 20km/h (worse when going up the hill)
And when I am on a slope in D, the car now rolls back like neutral unless I step on the accelerator. It used to roll back a bit

My question is, I heard that it's a common problem with start clutch. Is the start clutch replaceable or I should be expecting to replace the whole transmission?

    Hmm,

Try doing a flush and re calibrate the CVT.

If it dont help. My advise just drive her till it shits itself.

Or if you doing okay $$ wise convert to manual.

If really doing okay with $$ buy a new car and move on.

make sure you use the correct CVT oil. its the main cause of alot of CVT jazz issues.
If your looking for a manual conversion let me know i have all the parts

I did the oil change only 10,000km ago when I first bought the car with genuine cvt fluid. I don't think I will do manual conversion as it's my gfs car.

Left the car at the mechanic and he said the transmission mount was cracked pretty badly. That might explain the bang but not the serious roll back issues tho

The CVT Rolls back like a manual car.

Don't worry mate, if she is feeling shes gonna stall before taking off then you have problem.

    I know it's normal...

But I'm talking about it rolls back like without a clutch engaging...

yeah rolling back in a cvt is normal. I have had both manual and auto.
takes abit of time to get use to the auto, can't feel shifts, it feels like it doesn't wana stop and rolls.

You'll get use to it, its just how CVT cars are.
