    If you go on ebay and find a bluetooth OBDII scanner, you can diagnose codes/readout channels from your mobile device.

    It's a good bit cheaper

    I was told by a Honda "Expert" the following:
    'Your car is OBD1 (old standard). Which isn't compatible with any modern OBD2 software.

    Meaning you can only scan/diagnose your car via OBD1 scanner and OBD1 is a hard-to-support standard.'

    I am interested to know if you have used the Bluetooth OBDII scanner on this model Honda with success?
    Thank you

    I have used a bluetooth OBDII scanner successfully.

    Since you have an 05 accord i would think it has it. look under your steering wheel for some kind of plug like this

    That's an OBDII port

    find the port first before you buy!!

    then use the torque app to find the fault codes

    Torque isn't going to work if you have an iPhone. iPhone needs wifi scanners.

    2003 onwards are 0BD2. Don't know what that Tech? was smoking?

    If you want only standard OBD2 info then they will work. If you want more, like Honda specific data and access to all transmission data (if an auto) all O2 sensor data (there is huge amount not exposed via standard OBD2 scanners) or other Honda diagnostic control and repair data then an aftermarket HIM clone can be had for around $30 including Honda software - you need a Win Laptop or tablet though.

    iPhone = Wifi OBDII scanner

    Android = Bluetooth OBDII scanner

    PC = USB OBDII scanner (Can also use any of the above depending on the PC)
