    CD5 Digital Climate Control

    Hi all,

I have a CD5 Accord with digital climate control playing up (doesn't turn on, the display just flickers). I pulled it out and abit of the circuitry on the board looks burnt.

Is it possible to fix? myself or via auto electrician?

Have found these on eBay - http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Honda-Ac...db64e6&vxp=mtr

but not sure if I can trust.

    Regards

Very nice having the digital climate control eh?
Thats the achiles heel of them
Its electronic and at this age - things are bound to break
I'd reccomend finding a VTi-S wreck and pull it from there

Love the vti-s models, rare to find with leather and sunroof. I'm looking at the board now and seems some of the solder points are buggered. Going to solder them and give it a go. I've already tried looking for a wreck and no luck so far.

All VTi-S should come with leather and automatically have a sunroof

Exi - optional alloys, gold trim, leather (I had one with those options), airbags standard late '95
Vti - same as exi except gold trim, alloys, sunroof, f22b1 VTEC YO, cruise control and tweeters in the dash (airbags werent standar til late 95')
VtiS - same as Vti But standard with digital climate control, leather and rare were with manual, dual airbags as standard. OMG

It's really rare to find one in good condition

    I've been through 3 accords :P

    OT
    Good luck with the solder!

    Yup I've got VTI-S model.

No luck with the solder. Lights come up and display flickers but pressing the buttons doesn't do anything.

Absolutely no luck with finding a wreck either, only EXI and VTI models grrr

At least post a picture of board so others can see if you can fix it yourself or not
