    Hi guys.

Only became a honda owner last week. Up until then it was Mitsubishi left right and centre but got sick the problems i've been having with mine.

Bought a nicely kept 1994 Prelude VTi-R. I have never driven a manual before so this is essentially my practice car, but I can't bear to ruin it. Haven't burnt the clutch so far so it seems good (no smells).

Gratz on the buy and welcome

You want to make sure your oil level is topped up as VTEC uses a bit of oil
If your motor has been neglected (redlining when cold/not kept up with servicing) it could be burning/leaking oil
Also if it is 4 wheel steering, just make sure the p.s fluid has been changed/flushed
It would be a good idea to do a bit of a service on it (and change the MT fluid)

    Post up some pics

Ive been working all week so will post pics tomorrow
But its been an old mans car. Nothing wrong with it engine still strong. Pulls quite a bit. The ABS isnt working anymore because of the motor and the local honda dealer said they dont produce the motor anymore so the part cannot be sourced therefore infixable. Also the clutch friction point is quite high. Not sure if that means the clutch is on the way out or..

You can get a pump assembly from Honda America for $800
Or find a wreck and pull it out

Might give the MT a fluid change - see if that helps
Have a quick check to see if your clutch master cylinder & slave is not leaking

it's recently had its 4WS replaced from a dealer. The suspension knocks really bad so I'm going to head over to just jap and pick up some BC coilovers sometime this week!
Will probably leave this beauty stock for a while. Don't want to rice it.

Good idea to flush the p.s fluid in the 4ws while you can
So you don't need to replace it in the distant future :P
