    another abs light on.

g'day, my 98 legends abs light is on all the time. just got the car from brother inlaw
who is overseas and can,t ask why relay is missing. have bridged the relay and can hear motor going. i guess it was taken out for a reason and not sure if it's safe to try a new one. any ideas please.

Well why would he remove the relay
Why would you bridge the connections
By doing so you may have burned out the ABS pump.

You normally get ABS lights when there is an issue with the ABS system.

This could be as simple as a dirty ABS sensor.

Dirty WSS don't usually cause faults, Bridging the pump relay momentarily wont harm the pump either.

Best to read the ABS ECU for fault codes to determine the fault. If the pump relay is missing then the ECU will detect the pump is not able to run and failsafe the ABS system.
