So I was grinding something made from brass about 2 meters away from the engine bay, stupidly still had the valve cover off the engine. Noticed when I went to put it back on that some of the brass 'dust' had blown over the engine. Solutions I've found so far have been:

-Do nothing now, but change the oil and filter a few times in the near future.

-Clean up what I can and run new oil over it and through the head and drain the pan. Do this a few times.

-Completely disassemble the engine and clean everything, but still assume that I'm f*cked in the long run .(hope I don't have to go through this).

FYI, I have left it as it stands, have not started the engine or touched it since, save to place the valve cover back on it without bolting it up.

Would love to hear from anyone with personal experience with this. And yes, I know it was stupid, I know it's not good and I know I should have never done it in the first place
