With any JDM cluster (Civic, Integra, Prelude etc), is the mileage for the shell (top reading) of the car measured in kilometers or miles? Just curious to know.

I know the speed is measured in km/h but what about the actual mileage of the car? I've seen people say it has xxxxxx amount of miles but the cluster speed is in km/h. I'm assuming the shell mileage would be in km's?
