To ensure part fitment, clearance, and to allow further mock-up of the pedal assembly I had the parts 3d printed. Depending on material choice this process can be relatively inexpensive and provide valuable assessment. This particular material is a Nylon SLS. So strong enough to serve as a relatively functional part.

And the firewall side blu tacked in place. I will be welding those fuel line holes shut as I will be re-routing my lines

The picture really doesn't give the contour fitment justice.

There is about 20mm from the booster to edge of spacer. That's with DC2 booster

Awesome work - great to see some real ingenuity on ozhondie. I reckon I'd have at least a few customers who would be interested in this if you wanted to do a small scale production run.

Interesting to see how it turns out and cost of end product

You would sell them by hand full if you go into mass production
If you see a good Technical post giving advice give some postive rep

Subscribed. Keen to see finished product. I did the internally mounted CMC sonem conversion (which is actually designed for lhd... what a pain). Its fully functional, but doesnt feel oem. If you come up with something better im in.

My solution will feel OEM, as I intend on using an OEM pedal (not from an EF/ED obviously). Also mounting the CMC inside the car is less than ideal with those other kits

It will be bolt on, but still requires holes to be drilled through your firewall.

    Speaking of which...

Using the 3d printed part to mark hole positions, and center punched to start drilling.

    No going back now!

You will notice the diagonal holes are elongated due to the shape of the firewall. The final touches are done by hand with a circular file.

Slowly increasing hole sizes, also drilling perpendicular to the surface.

Next is hole saw time, again taking it easy to ensure everything will line up.

And presto, I am halfway to having a hydro ED

The inside, sorry about grainy image. Lighting was rubbish
