Stock shocks shit on a fair few aftermarket coils out there I'd bet!

As someone else already said, Bilstein PSS9 are pretty awesome. I've been using them for the past 8 months or so and daily my car and they've been pretty compliant.

You can also often find a set of used Tein Monoflex for around $1.3-1.5k. There are lots of mixed reviews of them though.

KW V3 are an awesome coilover. I run them in my cars. Ive had pss9 before and they are great also. However with your budget, these are in the wrong ballpark.

For your budget i would look at bc brs. A lot of track cars run them cause they are great for the price (sub $1300 for a decent coilover).

Teins are great but again above your budget.

We sell a lot of springs to many different car makes and around 6 months later we get a lot of people coming back to buy coilovers saying they wished they got coilovers in the first place.
