    K24a3 dc2r

Hey guys doing a kswap in my dc2r just wondering if I should go k20/k24 or stay straight k24a3 and why. If I do go k20/k24 what are the mods I have to install for it to fit perfectly?
    Thanks in advance.

What power levels are you realistically trying to achieve?

If you are going to do a basic bolt on set up, there is really no need to fit a K20A head onto a K24A block.

If you are chasing over 280hp (200kw) that is when the K20A head will become important

Honestly I'm really hoping on cracking the low 12s, high 11s with full trim man... Which path you recon I should take?

    Boost. With k24 block.

You blow the motor = only $800 for replacement motor.

Now if you blow frank, frank will blow your wallet.

Standard bolt ons (rbc/70mm tb/Intake/headers/3in exh) & tune should be enough to do 12's

From there you choose if you want to stay n/a or add boost

i am actually thinking of adding drag cartel 2.2 cams and supporting valve train, and hopefully porting the head of the k24 a little bit for a start... im hoping to get 12s or high 11s. you are the third person that has actually said i will be able to crack 12s with standard bolt ons and no internals... If i dont ill be disappointed hahah

Our simple built NA k24a3 block and head with the usual cams , piston , rods produce 210kw@wheels without a ported head
To crack 12s its not hard at all even in with a full trim. Been there done that in the past
