I have a similar problem.. although i was told it was to do with a butterfly valve in my carbs. I would check/replace accel cable, thats all I can give.

sounds like the throttle body is sticky - take off your intake pipe , and open your throttle - spray abit of carb cleaner aroudn and give abit of a scrub to get rid of excess gunk buiuld up around the edge.

    post count +2 for Chi?

Also I have 0 resistance in my accel pedal so it's a problem.

By Hard spot do you mean slighty tougher to push through, or a spot where it goes rock hard for a sec then kinda breaks through.

Yep I have the same thing and its the carbs, you get used to it.. just have to keep your foot on the accel a lil bit.

LowEK did you fix the problem?

I also didnt drive my Civic for 8 weeks and now the throttle pedal sticks at the start of the pedal press, which causes excess revs due to the extra foot pressure.
